Imperial Esports has made a statement ahead of the TWC 25 CS2 event.

Imperial Esports has advanced into the Main Event of the Thunderpick World Championships 25 Counter-Strike event after the closed qualifiers were completed.
The world no.33 (as of September 17) booked their ticket for the USD$340,000 TWC 25 finals, due to begin its third edition in Malta on October 15, with a 2-0 victory over Legacy.
Imperial Esports was joined in TWC 25 by Team Venon (WR 56), 9z (WR 45) team and traditional powerhouse OG, which has slipped to #26 in the current world ratings.
Prior to the closed qualifier, Four of the top Counter-Strike teams in the world were given invitations into TWC 25.
The MongoLZ, Navi, Aurora and Furia were all given the green-light to contest the four-day TWC LAN finals courtesy of their VRS Rankings in August, which had The Mongolz, who are also the defending champion at no.3.
While there is no futures markets available on the TWC 2025 event, we would expect markets to launch in the coming weeks, when the rest of the field is formally announced, with esports betting sites covering smaller independent pro events.
TWC 25 will run from October 15-19 with the winner claiming a whopping USD $200,000 first prize, while the place-getters will take home a share of $140,000.
Thunderpick’s Head of Strategy Kelly Sanders said the third year of the tournament, backed by the crypto only betting site, was continuing to redefine what competitive CS2 means outside the traditional promotions.
“With top teams from around the world converging on Malta and the return of defending champions The MongolZ, fans can expect an unforgettable event full of high-stakes gameplay,” she said.
