Dragon Ranger Gaming’s VALORANT Champions 2025 campaign will start with a tough challenge against the Masters Bangkok champions, T1.

For the Paris tournament, DRG acquired former world champion Maximilian “Demon1” Mazanov, who joined the Chinese squad just last week. On paper, Demon1 looks like a big addition, but he has had just a week with the new team, so synergy could be an issue.

T1 placed fourth in VCT Pacific Stage 2, which was a slight improvement from their Stage 1 performance but still a steep drop from what the Korean team showed earlier in the season. Regardless, T1 have had a few strong performances in the last stage and arguably should’ve reached at least the lower bracket finals in Stage 2.

Dragon Ranger Gaming had a solid run in the VCT China Stage 2 playoffs, but they should not be favored. T1 have a deeper map pool and have been fighting in a tougher region, which gives them a significant edge.

G2 ESPORTS vs TEAM HERETICS

Best Odds: G2 -227.27 at BetOnline | TH +162 at SportsBetting

According to the best VALORANT betting sites, G2 Esports are the second favorites to lift the VALORANT Champions 2025 trophy. Meanwhile, Team Heretics are +900 outsiders.

Despite their heroic run to the Esports World Cup trophy, Team Heretics’ shaky display at Masters Toronto (11th-12th) and underwhelming results in EMEA Stage 2 make it hard to believe they can make it far in France.

Even though Heretics have some upside, G2 Esports have been more consistent, with three VCT Americas titles, a runner-up finish in Bangkok, and a fourth-place finish in Toronto.

A major concern with Heretics is the varying performances of their main players, Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish and Mert “Wo0t” Alkan. On a more positive note, the removal of Icebox will benefit Heretics, but they haven’t been too great on their favorite maps, Ascend and Haven.

G2 Esports are a more complete team with a deeper map pool and should walk away from Sunday’s affair with a comfortable victory.
