Team Spirit officially announced the signing of Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich on Monday after weeks of rumors surrounding the ex-HEROIC player’s future.

The 24-year-old joins the Russian Counter-Strike 2 team as a replacement for Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia, who was cut from the lineup after 26 months.

According to Team Spirit, the Ukrainian player was moved to the bench at his own request, as he wanted time off to resolve personal issues.

“It took us a while to provide him with such an opportunity, avoiding negative consequences for the roster’s stability at the same time. We undoubtedly respect Miroslav’s choice,” read the announcement.

“Throughout all these years, zont1x has made a tremendous contribution to the development of our roster both inside the game and beyond.

“Miroslav’s composure, humanity, and stable performances made him a vital part of the Team Spirit family.”

TN1R is the second new arrival to Spirit’s roster since July, when the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 champions welcomed Ivan “zweih” Gogin from Nemiga Gaming.

The latest change follows two underwhelming performances at the 2025 Esports World Cup and BLAST Open Fall Closed Qualifier, with the team failing to reach the last eight in either event.

However, tN1R’s signing was rumored before Spirit’s dip in form, suggesting the roster changes are not performance-driven.

The Belarusian rifler signs for Spirit after a promising stint with HEROIC, who he joined in January as a part of a complete roster overhaul.

Over eight months since, tN1R has averaged an impressive 1.19 performance rating, while he posted a 1.16 average in HEROIC’s run to the CS2 Esports World Cup quarterfinals.

Having proved himself as one of the more promising talents from the CIS region, tN1R is as a massive addition and a huge boost ahead of Spirit’s ESL Pro League Season 22 campaign.

TN1R is expected to debut for Team Spirit in the second stage of the tournament on October 3.

The best CS2 bookmakers are expected to open ESL Pro League betting markets after FISSURE Playground #2 concludes on September 21.
