LGD Gaming are 0-6, after they lost (0-2) against Weibo Gaming on Wednesday. But there is more to that match than the final score would suggest.
They were very competitive against Weibo Gaming, and LGD had an excellent chance to win the first map, but despite holding over 8k gold lead at 26 minutes, LGD still found a way to lose. The second map of the series was a complete stomp by Weibo Gaming, but that was to be expected.
LGD Gaming are very frustrating to follow since they have shown that they can be good, and somehow LGD find a way to lose the most winnable games. However, their luck will turn, and it shouldn’t take long before LGD Gaming take down one of the big dogs.
Top Esports are prime candidates to lose against LGD Gaming since they are very stacked team that should compete for the LPL crown but also a squad that can be very hit-or-miss. They already showed that last week when TES lost a map against ThunderTalk Gaming (2-1), so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that LGD can do some damage.
Regardless of what their record would lead us to believe, LGD Gaming are capable of playing great LoL, and at the offered esports betting odds, they’re worth a go on the map handicap market.

On Wednesday, FunPlus Phoenix lost against Top Esports (0-2), marking their fourth loss of the season and their fourth consecutive. And even though they’re not the only team with a 1-4 record, FunPlus Phoenix deserves to sit at the bottom of the table.
The eye test proves that FPX are very weak, not only because this squad lacks the talent to compete for top spots, but mainly due to their poor macro play. As seen on Wednesday, FPX don’t know where to turn and what to do, and this wasn’t an isolated case of FPX’s strange decision-making.
Their next opponents, Royal Never Give Up, are holding on well and enter this match with a 2-3 record. They’ve won against Rare Atom (2-0) and Invictus Gaming (2-0), while their only defeats came against LNG Esports (0-2), Oh My God (1-2), and JD Gaming (2-0), which are some of the strongest teams in the league.
As the latest LoL betting odds suggest, Royal Never Give Up should win, and that’s more than fair. FunPlus Phoenix are too flawed to have a chance to accomplish much here, and barring any surprises, RNG should get it done in two maps.
