100 Thieves exit League of Legends after eight-year run

100 Thieves have exited the League of Legends scene after an 8-year run that included a 2021 LCS title and four Worlds appearances.

The 100 Thieves League of Legends division will be stepping away from Riot Games’ MOBA, ending a successful
eight-year-long chapter, which includes winning the domestic championship in 2021.

100 Thieves entered the LoL Championship Series (LCS) in 2018 and made an immediate impact, reaching the
NA LCS Spring finals and qualifying for the LoL World Championship 2018.

After an inspiring start to 100T’s involvement in the LoL esports scene, the team needed just three more years to
win their maiden LCS trophy and added two more grand final appearances a year later, in 2022.

The loss in two grand finals ushered in a roster rebuild for the 2023 season.

The new lineup did not find much success, but after some roster adjustments, 100 Thieves finished fourth and
third in LCS 2024 Summer and Spring, securing their fourth LoL Worlds appearance.

In their, now final, season in League of Legends Champions of The Americas (LTA), 100 Thieves have already left
a positive mark. They won LTA North Split 1 and placed second in LTA 2025 Cross-Conference.

Unfortunately, a poor performance in Split 2 (fifth-sixth) saw 100 Thieves miss out on their final chance to qualify
for the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup.

100 Thieves’ intentions to leave the LTA were already hinted at in 2024, when the team stated they would be
competing in LTA North only as a provisional guest team.

Despite stepping away from LTA at the end of the year, 100 Thieves have recently signed former pro player
Niship “Dhokla” Doshi as a new coach.

With 100 Thieves’ departure from LTA in 2026, a new partner team will join the league; however, it is unclear
which organisation will fill in the gap.
