What’s on in esports for week beginning September 15, 2025

Another week of esports will kick off on Monday, September 15, 2025, with VALORANT taking center stage in Paris.

After kicking off last weekend, VALORANT Champions 2025 will be the headline event this week, with more group stage matches scheduled.

FISSURE Playground #2 also started last Friday and will run through Sunday, September 21.

Meanwhile, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) and League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) will conclude on Sunday.

VALORANT Champions 2025

VALORANT Champions will run from September 12 through October 5, with the group stage and playoffs held inside Les Arenes before the semifinals and grand final are held at Accor Arena.

Group B will be the final group to feature at Champions, with their two opening matches being played on Monday.

Paper Rex, GIANTX, DRX, NRG, T1 and Team Heretics all started with a win in their respective opening matches.

FISSURE Playground #2

Following the first three days of play at FISSURE Playground #2, Aurora Gaming, FaZe Clan, Team Falcons and FURIA Esports have a 2-0 record and will clash to earn automatic qualification for the playoffs.

With seven of the top 10 CS2 squads in the world competing at the tournament, the level of competition is expected to be at the highest level throughout.

LPL & LCP Playoffs

The top five League of Legends regional splits will finish up over the next two weeks, with the LPL and LCP being the first of those to end.

In China, Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, JD Gaming and Anyone’s Legend will compete in the final rounds of the playoffs.

CTBC Flying Oyster is already in the grand final of the LCP, and they await the winner of PSG Talon and Secret Whales on Saturday.
