Virtus.pro esports news

Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev and Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko have left the Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster on Saturday amid reports of the duo getting acquired by another team.

The changes are part of another roster overhaul, which comes just two months after Virtus.pro announced a new lineup with the arrival of Artem “lorenof” Melnick, Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin, Ivan “OneJey” Zhivitsky, Vladislav “Rein” Kosygin, and TA2000.

The major changes in March followed a long streak of underwhelming results, as Virtus.pro failed to qualify for a single LAN tournament, consistently crashing out of closed qualifiers.

However, even with a new lineup, Virtus.pro have not found much more success in big event qualifiers.

In the two months, they have managed a second-place finish in the MESWA closed qualifier for DreamLeague Season 26 and a third-place finish at FISSURE Universe: Episode 5 Play-In.

VP’s only notable accomplishment since replacing their roster was a runner-up finish at FISSURE Special, where they lost the finals against Xtreme Gaming.

While TA2000’s stint with VP was rather short-lived and unsuccessful, Noticed had spent that time on the bench as an inactive player and appeared in one showmatch event – BetBoom Streamers Battle 9 – playing on IVPGG.

Before his benching in March, Noticed had been the longest-serving member on the Virtus.pro Dota 2 team along with Ilya “squad1x” Kuvaldin, who left for 1win Team on Friday.

The duo had been on the VP roster since December 2022.

Along with the announcement of TA2000 and Noticed’s departure, Virtus.pro also confirmed that the two players were acquired by another undisclosed team.

Virtus.pro will debut their new-look roster – featuring Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey and returning support Vladislav “Antares” Kertman as replacements for TA2000 and Noticed – at PGL Wallachia Season 5, which is set to start on June 21.
