100 Thieves started off VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1 with a humiliating 1-2 defeat against Sentinels, who bested them with 13-5 on Pearl and 13-1 on Split. Evil Geniuses were more successful in their recent clash with 2GAME Esports, although 13-11 on Haven and 13-8 on Lotus might be considered too close for comfort.
The best esports betting sites have 100 Thieves as -227.27 favourites to defeat Evil Geniuses, which is a low number on a team who appear to have a rather shallow map pool. While there is a lot to dislike about EG, Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker looked very good and could be the difference-maker on Saturday.
100 Thieves have a higher ceiling, but as the favourites have clear map-pool issues, Evil Geniuses should be in a good spot to take one.

G2 Esports defeated FURIA 2-0 in the first week of VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1 and are expected to add another victory to their record as they take on MIBR. Despite being the defending VCT Americas champions, G2 should not be such massive favourites so early into the stage.
While G2 Esports were the best team in the Kickoff event, MIBR played an excellent game against Leviatan even though their star player, Erick “aspas” Santos, struggled with a 0.95 performance rating.
If the Brazilians can play that well without aspas, they should be more than capable of picking up a few big scalps when the 21-year-old steps up. At +225, MIBR are an excellent outsider bet to upset the defending champions.
