This is viewed as the most one-sided game of the opening round at VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025, as North America’s no.2 team, Sentinels, take on China’s third seed, Wolves Esports.

Wolves Esports are the third-best team in their region, but the gap between the top two and the rest is big enough to make this accomplishment insignificant. Sentinels also field a much more experienced roster, with three former Masters champions, and they found more success in a tougher league.

Even though the first rounds of Masters tournaments are no stranger to upsets, it will take a massive blunder for Sentinels to lose a map, let alone the series.

Gen.G are priced as firm favourites to defeat MIBR on the top VALORANT betting sites, which does not sound wrong. Gen.G had a great run through VCT Pacific and seem to have found their form in time to make another splash in a Masters event.

However, MIBR are not a team to be underestimated. They have been very consistent this season and field some of the best players from their region, including the 2022 world champion Erick “aspas” Santos, who is in excellent shape.

MIBR have lost four of their last five games, including two against NRG and 100 Thieves in the Esports World Cup 2025 qualifiers. This is not optimal, but Gen.G have not played a game in nearly a month, which is not great either.

This should be priced closer to even money, so MIBR at +125 are a solid outsider bet.
