G2 Esports sit second in the Esports World Cup 2025 outright markets, priced at
+350 to win the title. Jonah “JonahP” Pulice and co. have been one of the most consistent VALORANT teams of the season, with two VCT Americas titles, a silver medal from Masters Bangkok and a fourth-place finish from Masters Toronto.

Karmine Corp did not qualify for either of the two VCT Masters evets, but they had a solid showing in the EWC EMEA Qualifiers, where they bested KOI, Natus Vincere, and FUT Esports (twice) before losing to Team Liquid.

As the latest betting odds show, this is G2 Esports’ game to lose. However, despite what Karmine Corp’s results might suggest, this is a quality team who can hold their own against the world’s elite squads.

VALORANT Masters Toronto champions Paper Rex are the outright favourites to win the 2025 Esports World Cup title. And until proven otherwise, they are the strongest VALORANT team heading to Saudi Arabia.

Bilibili Gaming were also in attendance in Toronto, but they failed to reach the knockout stage. While a competent team, Bilibili are a tier below Paper Rex and unlikely to cause an upset on Tuesday.

We’re likely going to get Pearl or Icebox for this best-of-one game, and they are Paper Rex’s strong maps. At -120.48 to win with five maps to spare, the defending Masters champions are the clear choice.

DRX vs XLG ESPORTS

DRX missed out on Toronto after placing fourth in VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 1. They have since won the Asian Champions League and finished as runners-up at the Pacific EWC Qualifiers, which is inspiring.

Despite securing the VCT 2025 China Stage 1 title, XLG Esports looked toothless in Toronto, proving they do not have what it takes to compete against elite squads. It also does not help that XLG recently added James “NoMan” Man, who has yet to feature in an official match.

DRX bested XLG in May during the Asian Champions League, and there is nothing to suggest the rematch will end any other way.

SENTINELS vs BBL ESPORTS

BBL Esports are priced as underdogs on the best VALORANT betting sites for their clash with Sentinels, which might sound fair. However, Sentinels are often overrated by the market despite not accomplishing much outside of two runner-up finishes in VCT Americas.

The EMEA representatives recently added assistant coach Manuel “thinkii” Martínez and analyst Dario “ZaeS” Gomez while keeping their lineup intact. Despite not being viewed as one of VCT EMEA’s top teams, BBL have found some momentum with a fourth-place finish in Stage 1 and a gold medal from the EWC 2025 EMEA Qualifiers.

While Sentinels boast a very experienced roster, the eye test suggests they are not that much better than BBL. At plus money, the outsiders are the easy choice.

NRG vs TEAM HERETICS

Team Heretics enter the Esports World Cup following a rough display in Toronto, where they crashed out in last place with defeats against Paper Rex and Wolves Esports. In their defence, Heretics lost to the eventual champions and third-placed team, although the expectations put on Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish and co. were much higher.

NRG have yet to appear in a top-flight tournament this year, with seventh-eighth-place finishes in VCT Americas Kickoff and Stage 1. They looked better in May when winning the EWC Americas Qualifiers, although they did not face any of the region’s top teams there.

Team Heretics’ shaky display in the last Masters event should not be indicative of this squad’s quality. This is the same roster that finished the VCT EMEA Kickoff in third, Stage 1 in second place, and claimed a silver medal from VALORANT Champions 2024.

REX REGUM QEON vs TITAN ESPORTS CLUB

Rex Regum Qeon finished VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 in seventh-eighth place with losses to Wolves Esports and Fnatic. They did not have the easiest schedule and still showed some fight, so it is fair to say RRQ can be competitive at the highest level.

The same can not be said for Titan Esports Club, who are one of the weakest VALORANT teams from the Chinese region.

There is little to analyse here. Titan are a couple of tiers below RRQ in the power rankings and should not pose a serious threat.

100 THIEVES vs FNATIC

100 Thieves will have a mountain to climb when they take on VALORANT Masters Toronto runners-up Fnatic.

While 100T did well in VCT Americas Stage 1 — nearly beating G2 Esports in the lower-bracket quarterfinals — that remains their highest moment of the season.

For Fnatic, anything less than a podium finish at the 2025 Esports World Cup would be a major disappointment. They have the experience, talent, and the map pool to deal with any team — including 100T, who are unproven on the international stage.

GEN.G vs EDWARD GAMING

Gen.G and EDward Gaming have shown very high highs while failing to establish themselves among the leading candidates to win the Esports World Cup. EDG, in particular, disappointed by missing Masters Toronto, whereas Gen.G could only manage a fifth-sixth finish in Canada.

Gen.G are priced as favourites, but these numbers are off. EDward Gaming have placed inside the top four in all events this season, except for the VALORANT China Evolution Series Act 1, and looked solid in Bangkok with just two losses against the eventual finalists — G2 Esports and T1.

At +120, EDward Gaming are priced too generously to ignore.
