The LPL 2025 Regional Finals kick off with a heavyweight showdown as Top Esports (TES) face Invictus Gaming (IG) in Shenzhen this Thursday. With an LoL Worlds spot on the line and both teams fielding stacked rosters, this upper-bracket clash promises high-level League of Legends action.
Both sides arrive with contrasting trajectories. Top Esports enter as heavy favorites with the leading esports betting sites but fell just short in LPL Split 3, losing to Bilibili Gaming in a five-game thriller. Invictus Gaming battled through a patchy regular season before surging late to secure their Regional Finals berth. The pressure is immense: win here and you’re one best-of-five away from the LoL World Championship main stage.
Top Esports have not only built one of the deepest lineups in China; they’ve also been the more consistent outfit in recent months. They rolled through the regular season before losing narrowly to Bilibili Gaming 2–3 in the LPL Split 3 finals. Even in that defeat, Bai “369” Jiahao and Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok dominated lanes early, while Lin “Creme” Jian and Yu “JackeyLove” Wenbo with Fu “Hang” Minghang showed the ability to carry fights late.
TES are at their best when dictating tempo early and snowballing through teamfights — something they’ve managed to do in most of their playoff matches.
Invictus Gaming have had a rockier route. They stumbled in parts of the LPL Split 3, including a 0–3 loss to Anyone’s Legend in their last series, but their mid-to-late season resurgence was fuelled by Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok in the top lane and Song “Rookie” Eui-jin running the show in mid. The arrival of Yan “Wei” Yangwei has also stabilised the jungle, giving the bot lane of Chen “GALA” Wei and Tian “Meiko” Ye more space to shine.
IG are at their most dangerous around neutral objectives, and if they can weather TES’s early-game pressure, their teamfight execution could still flip the series.
TES are favored to close this out 3–0 or 3–1 thanks to stronger lanes and objective control. Back them at the -1.5 handicap with the top League of Legends betting sites.
Both teams average high kill totals and fight often around dragons and barons; expect a bloodbath even if the series ends quickly.
