BIG and Sangal Esports will lock horns on Thursday in the first round of the European BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 for the second time in just two weeks. The two CS:GO squads last met in the first round of Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio European RMR B, when BIG won (16-3) without breaking a sweat, and we can expect much of the same this week.

BIG, while not a top-tier team, have been playing like one for the past few months claiming a few big scalps along the way. They won Roobet Cup in June by beating FaZe (twice), Cloud9, and Entropiq, and they even humiliated the current no.1 team, Team Vitality (16-10), during the European RMR.
Sangal Esports have not produced anything even remotely as impressive, but it’s not like you would expect Robin “ScrunK” Röpke and his crew to achieve much at the top level of play. They won GAM3RS_X EU Champions Fall 2022 in September and had their moments during European RMR B, but those were limited to beating FANTASY and Illuminar Gaming.

Even though this match will be played online, there is little to suggest Sangal can cause an upset. BIG have been playing extremely well of late and are one of the darkhorse teams to cause some damage at IEM Rio Major 2022. Sangal, on the other side, are a tier-two team trying to make a name for themselves.

ECSTATIC vs HEROIC CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: ECSTATIC +450 at BetOnline | Heroic -833.33 at BetOnline
When: October 20, 2022 | 19:30 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/BLASTPremier)

The day’s second match in the European BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 will feature a similar dynamic – a top-tier team taking on complete outsiders. And just like the offered CS:GO betting odds suggest, it should be a very one-sided meeting.

ECSTATIC enter BLAST Premier as the current no.49 team in the world, significantly lower than Heroic, who reclaimed their position inside the top-10 on Monday for the first time since June 2022. Most of it had to do with Heroic’s successful run through the European RMR B, where they placed third, with just one defeat against Outsiders.

ECSTATIC did not qualify for the RMR, nor have they attended any noteworthy tournaments since May, when they reached the semifinals at Pinnacle Cup IV. Since then, strong tournament performances have been few and far between, with the Danes winning just one event – Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters Fall 2022 in September.

It’s tough to find a reason to believe Heroic can lose, even though they are known to disappoint in big events (particularly on LAN). However, knowing that ECSTATIC have yet to defeat or come close to beating a top-10 team, trusting Heroic to sweep their compatriots is a bet you can take and feel good about it.

LOS + ONE vs MIBR CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: LOS + oNe +175 at BetOnline | MiBR -250 at BetOnline
When: October 20, 2022 | 13:30 PDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/BLASTPremier)

Since Team oNe’s joint venture with Los Grandes, we’ve seen the new-look squad play six official games and win just one, against Infinity (2-0). In their defence, LOS + oNe had a relatively tough schedule, as they had to face Team Liquid (6-16), Imperial (1-2), and ENCE (5-16), but the LATAM squad also lost badly against O PLANO (10-16) and Fluxo (1-2).

MiBR have not achieved much ahead of this bout either, losing against Liquid (16-19), ATK (8-16), Isurus (1-2), and 9z Team (1-2). So even though MiBR are stronger on paper, they’re out of shape and not a team with which we would trust our money.

This is a regional derby between players who know each other fairly well. Moreover, LOS + oNe’s players are in great shape (+1.10 rating), so there is a chance this affair will be much closer than expected. At the offered CS:GO betting odds, this is an underdog-or-pass type of match.
