The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) announced the return of The Milk Cup, a women’s Fortnite esports tournament set to take place in Fall this year.

First revealed in April 2024, The Milk Cup was created to provide women with the opportunity and resources to compete in esports, and it proved to be a massive success.

According to a press release, The Milk Cup 2024 was one of the most-watched esports tournaments of the year, and organisers MilkPEP intend to build on the success with a revamped format and a larger prize pool for the 2025 iteration.

“We are thrilled to bring back The Milk Cup in 2025, reinforcing our deep commitment to the female gaming community and continuing to solidify milk’s place as The Performance Drink of Gamers,” said MilkPEP Senior Marketing Manager Jen Grubb.

“Designed in collaboration with women gamers, The Milk Cup is more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to celebrate, support, and elevate women.”

The 2025 edition of the tournament will offer a US$300,000 prize pool—a US$50,000 increase to last year’s US$250,000.

In response to the community feedback, the tournament will also include a duos format.

The road to Milk Cup 2025 will be divided into three series, with qualifier events taking place in April, June, and August.

The LAN Championship will be held in the Fall later this year.

Along with the announcement of The Milk Cup 2025, MilkPEP also revealed the creation of The Milk Cup Academy—a mentorship and training programme for up-and-coming female Fortnite players.

“This year, we’re proud to expand our impact with The Milk Cup Academy, providing amateur gamers with access to education, mentorship, and a supportive community to help level up their skills and advance their journey toward professional gaming, all fueled by milk,” added Grubb.

The program will include coaching from a renowned figure in the esports world, ThePeachCobbler, and receive support from Monrock and RaidiantGG.

Wellness and performance support will be included, as well as exclusive prizes and rewards for academy participants.

The Milk Cup 2025 registration is open for all players of all skill levels, who can apply through the official gonnaneedmilk.com website.
