Team Liquid PH, ONIC ID sweep into MSC 2025 semifinals

Team Liquid Philippines and ONIC Esports Indonesia punched their tickets to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 semifinals after sweeping their quarterfinal opponents at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Both squads now set up a blockbuster Southeast Asian showdown on August 1 for a place in the grand finals and a shot at the US$3 million prize pool.

Team Liquid PH demolished Aurora Türkiye 3-0, opening with a lightning-fast 18-2 victory in just 12 minutes behind Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s flawless Lancelot (5-0-8) and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s perfect 10-0-5 Granger.

Oheb followed up with a Maniac in Game 2 as Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz’s Mathilda (2-0-4) controlled teamfights.

The sweep was sealed in Game 3, where Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s perfect Cici (5-0-3) and Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s Pharsa (3-3-5) punished Aurora’s failed Lord contest at 18 minutes.

ONIC Esports Indonesia was just as ruthless in their 3-0 win over Mythic SEAL, taking games 15-12, 18-4, and 19-13.

Jungler Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol starred as series MVP with dominant performances on Lancelot and Harith, while Calvin “CW” Winata and Nowee “Ryota” Macasa provided consistent lane control and damage.

Their fast-paced rotations and objective control left Mythic SEAL unable to mount a response, setting up a semifinal clash between ONIC ID and Team Liquid PH, a rematch of their close 2-1 encounter in the group stage.

Attention now shifts to Thursday’s remaining quarterfinals, with RRQ Hoshi facing Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants OG and ONIC Philippines taking on Team Spirit from the CIS region.

Both Selangor OG and ONIC PH enter as heavy betting favorites with the top online betting sites, which could pave the way for an all-Southeast Asian semifinal lineup at MSC 2025.
