Shopify Rebellion esports team

Shopify Rebellion have become the first North American squad to punch their ticket to the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup after surviving a thrilling upper bracket semifinal against rivals M80.

Riding an undefeated run through the North America League 2025 group stage—where they recorded eight regulation wins and one overtime triumph—Shopify continued their dominant form but were pushed to the edge in the playoffs.

M80 handed them their first map loss of the season on Chalet, winning 7-4, and nearly derailed the Rebellion’s run before Shopify bounced back with a gutsy maximum overtime victory on Nighthaven Labs.

The decider on Border went the full 15 rounds and delivered a dramatic finish.

Down 2v4 in the final round, Jaylen “Ambi” Turk and veteran Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski pulled off a stunning clutch to steal the series.

Canadian opened the round with two pivotal frags, while Ambi closed it out with a double of his own to send the team into Riyadh. William “Spoit” Löfstedt, a former M80 player, was the undisputed MVP with a SiegeGG rating of 1.26 and a staggering 40 kills, half of them coming on Border.

His nine entry frags throughout the series showcased just how impactful his performance was.

With the win, Shopify Rebellion are now guaranteed a spot at the Siege X Esports World Cup, which begins on August 5 in Saudi Arabia with a US$2 million prize pool.

They’ve also advanced to the Upper Bracket Final in the North America League and are just one more win away from securing additional SI Points.

The World Cup will feature eight of the best Rainbow Six teams from across the globe, including Team BDS, who are looking to defend their title after three straight wins at Gamers8 and the 2024 World Cup.

Matches will be broadcast live via the Esports World Cup Twitch channel, with betting markets available with the top esports betting sites.
