Natus Vincere have made some significant changes to their Counter-Strike setup ahead of IEM Cologne.

Natus Vincere (NAVI)

Natus Vincere have promoted Drin “makazze” Shaqiri to their main Counter-Strike 2 lineup and put the rest of the NAVI Junior roster up for sale.

Makazze’s promotion follows a long dry spell for NAVI, who have managed just two semifinal appearances in LAN events this season — at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025.

Despite reaching the knockout stages in all but one S-Tier event this year, NAVI have been struggling to overcome the final hurdle and compete for medals.

The new arrival is a product of the Natus Vincere academy program, which he joined in October 2023.

Makazze has since emerged as NAVI Junior’s hottest prospect, leading the team to four titles in 2025 — including YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025, where the 18-year-old posted the tournament’s highest performance rating (1.36).

While an exciting addition to the main squad, the Kosovar prodigy’s arrival comes with one unanswered question: who will be moved on to make room?

Natus Vincere have yet to comment on the decision; however, with IEM Cologne 2025 around the corner, more information is expected shortly.

Makazze’s promotion overlaps with NAVI’s decision to transfer-list their academy roster, citing limitations of the Counter-Strike ecosystem that have prevented the team from developing further.

NAVI Junior have been one of the most successful academy teams of the year, peaking at No.22 on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) after their success at YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025.

The sale of the team does not mean the end of NAVI’s academy project, as there are plans in place to build another secondary squad.
