In a thrilling display of Counter-Strike, MOUZ asserted themselves as formidable contenders for the PGL Major Copenhagen title with a resounding 2-0 (13-1, 13-2) victory over Complexity.

The series showcased MOUZ’s prowess, particularly highlighted by their overwhelming performances on both Overpass and Ancient.

The initial map, Overpass, saw MOUZ take an early lead, propelled by a successful pistol round.

Despite Complexity’s attempts to rally, they struggled to secure crucial rounds, with MOUZ’s Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás showcasing exceptional skill in clutch situations.

This prevented Complexity from gaining momentum and breaking MOUZ’s economy, leading to a one-sided score line of 13-1.

Ancient proved to be even more devastating for Complexity as MOUZ delivered a masterclass performance, leaving their opponents with minimal opportunities to mount a challenge.

MOUZ’s Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo and Dorian “xertioN” Berman dominated the map, securing a swift and decisive 13-2 victory.

Following their convincing performance in the RMR event, which included a notable win against pre-Major favourites Team Spirit, MOUZ’s success in the elimination stage solidifies their status as legitimate contenders for the Major title.

Meanwhile, Spirit secured their place in the playoff stage of the PGL Major Copenhagen after a hard-fought 2-1 (13-16, 13-9, 13-7) victory over Natus Vincere.

Despite NAVI’s strong start on Nuke, Spirit staged an impressive comeback, propelled by standout performances from Justinas “jL” Lekavicius and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.

Spirit continued their momentum on Ancient, with donk leading the charge after a quiet start, securing their map pick convincingly.

The series concluded on Mirage, where Spirit’s dominance prevailed, ultimately securing the victory with stellar performances from donk and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov.

In a post-match interview, Spirit’s Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia emphasized the team’s ambition to win the entire tournament, highlighting their unwavering confidence and determination.

Overall, MOUZ and Spirit’s performances in the elimination stage underscore their potential to make significant strides in the Major tournament, setting the stage for intense competition in the playoff stage.
