VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA team Gentle Mates announced the signing of Berkcan “ComeBack” Şentürk, who joins the team ahead of the final stage of the season.
The 17-year-old player is the second new addition to the Gentle Mates VALORANT lineup, after the promotion of Yusuf Emre “Proxh” Tunc, who originally joined Gentle Mates on a loan from Eintracht Frankfurt in May.
The roster changes follow a tough period for the European squad, who finished the first stage of VCT 2025 EMEA in 11th-12th place and shortly after crashed out of the Esports World Cup 2025 EMEA Qualifier in sixth.
In a bid to find more success in the second stage of the VCT 2025 season, Gentle Mates reached out to two rookies, including ComeBack, who started his esports career in April 2024 with PCIFIC Esports (later BBL PCIFIC)
With PCIFIC, ComeBack dominated Turkish VALORANT Challengers League (VCL) and qualified for EMEA Ascension, where PCIFIC fell to Apeks in the grand finals.
Since most of the lineup was not old enough to step into VCT, the core stuck together for the 2025 season in which BBL PCIFIC won the kickoff event and Stage 1 of VCL Turkey.
The Turkish squad also won the inaugural VALORANT Challengers 2025 EMEA and finished the second stage as runners-up.
With his 18th birthday coming up (June 14), Gentle Mates wasted no time to scoop up ComeBack, who will serve as a new Duellist and replacement for Haydem “Click” Ali, who was let go last month.
ComeBack is set to make his VCT debut with the start of VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 in July when Gentle Mates will chase a ticket for VALORANT Champions 2025.
