GamerLegion announced the signing of Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, who re-joins the European Counter-Strike 2 team to take over as the new in-game leader.
Snax’s arrival at GamerLegion was announced on Saturday, December 13, and it follows a turbulent period for GamerLegion, who have recently benched coach Ashley “ashhh” Battye and IGL Erik “ztr” Gustafsson.
However, with the Pole’s arrival, GamerLegion have filled the two gaps, with Adrian “imd” Pieper taking over as interim coach and Snax as the new in-game leader.
This will mark Snax’s second stint with GamerLegion, whom he initially joined in September 2023 to replace Sanjar “neaLaN” Ishakov.
The 32-year-old veteran has spent nine months with the team and notably helped them qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen, where GamerLegion placed 17th-19th.
Besides reaching the Major, GamerLegion’s only other notable accomplishment with Snax was reaching the semifinals of CCT Season 1 Global Finals.
In June, Snax left GamerLegion for G2 Esports, with whom he won BLAST Premier Fall Final and World Final, and reached the semifinals of Perfect World Shanghai Major at the end of the year.
However, despite all the accomplishments the Pole has achieved with G2 Esports, he was cut from the roster in July to make room for Matúš “matys” Šimko.
Since his benching from G2 Esports, Snax has appeared in the Unmuted MyCup showmatch.
Back on GamerLegion, Snax brings a veteran presence to the team who have been struggling in recent months, slipping down the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) with early elimination from the StarLadder Budapest Major.
GamerLegion currently have no confirmed tournaments lined up in the coming weeks, meaning Snax will likely debut after the Winter break in mid-July.
