Fnatic confirm Poby signing ahead of LEC 2025 Summer

It’s been a month in the making, but the Black & Orange have unveiled Marek “Humanoid” Brazda’s replacement at last.

Fnatic have confirmed the signing of rising Korean mid laner Yoon “Poby” Sung-won ahead of the final split of the 2025 LoL EMEA Championship.

The move, announced on Monday, July 21, comes a month after the first reports of the team’s intentions to bring in the 19-year-old to replace Marek “Humanoid” Brázda.

Poby, who has been with T1 since August 2021, will have his first opportunity to step into Tier 1 esports as a regular player on a starting lineup.

It comes two years after he was called up to T1’s LoL Champions Korea (LCK) roster as a temporary replacement for Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.

Despite lacking Tier 1 experience, Poby joins Fnatic as a promising mid laner who has spent the last four years competing in lower divisions of the Korean LoL esports ecosystem.

While LCK Challenger titles have eluded him, the 19-year-old has managed a runner-up finish in LCK CL Kickoff 2025, a top-two finish in Asia Masters 2025 Swiss Stage 1, and a third-sixth result in Swiss Stage 2 earlier this month.

The official announcement of Poby joining Fnatic comes just under two weeks before the start of the LEC 2025 Summer split.

Scheduled to start on August 2, LEC Summer promises a fierce battle for three LoL World Championship invites between the league’s top contenders — including Fnatic, who will look to break their seven-year title drought.

The top LoL betting sites have yet to open LEC outright markets for the final split. However, Fnatic are expected to retain their tag as one of the leading candidates to hoist the trophy.
