PGL have announced Singapore as the host country of the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of the 2026 season, scheduled to run in November and December.

The PGL Major Singapore 2026 is confirmed to take place between November 25 and December 13, following a similar schedule to the ongoing StarLadder Budapest Major.

The event will welcome 32 Counter-Strike 2 esports teams and offer a US$1,250,000 prize pool, while following the familiar three-stage Swiss stage format, leading to the playoffs.

The final stage of the Major will take place at the 12,000-capacity Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, where the remaining teams will battle in a best-of-three single-elimination bracket for a spot in a best-of-five grand final.

The PGL Major Singapore marks the first time in history that a CS2 Major will visit Southeast Asia, continuing a trend of prominent CS2 tournament organizers hosting their events in the region.

Asia previously hosted the Perfect World Shanghai Major, although the region has since hosted other big events, namely Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu and BLAST Rivals Fall.

“The PGL Singapore Major 2026 marks a historic milestone: the first Counter-Strike 2 Major ever held in Southeast Asia. This event represents more than just a new location; it’s a step toward expanding the competitive landscape of Counter-Strike beyond its traditional European and North American strongholds,” read the announcement.

“Through events like this, PGL continues to bridge regions and communities, helping bring large-scale Counter-Strike competition to new audiences and territories. From the memorable PGL Major Krakow and PGL Major Stockholm to more recent ventures in Kazakhstan and now Singapore, PGL has consistently worked to make the global stage of CS more inclusive and diverse.”

PGL Singapore will be PGL’s fifth Major, after PGL Krakow 2017, PGL Stockholm 2021, PGL Antwerp 2022, and PGL Copenhagen 2024, as the first Major of the Counter-Strike 2 era.

With the announcement of the Singapore Major, next year’s CS2 schedule features 26 S-Tier tournaments, starting with the BLAST Bounty Winter on January 22 as the first big event of 2026.
