Team One are expected to struggle in their ESL Pro League Season 14 opener, as they face the current second-best team in the world, Gambit Esports. The Brazilians last met with Gambit in March, during ESL Pro League Season 13, when they lost 0-2. Their only previous meeting happened in February, during the IEM Katowice Play-In, when Gambit won with the exact same score (16-5) on Train.
Even though a lot of time has passed since these two teams last met, it’s fair to say that the final result on Wednesday won’t be much different to what we saw earlier this year. Team One enter this match on a six-game losing streak, while Gambit are 3-3 over the same stretch.
While online tournaments are notorious for upset wins, Gambit are one of the world’s best online teams (21-2 in their last 23 online matches). This should be an easy and fast victory for the Russians.

FURIA vs ENTROPIQ CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

The second match of the day will present us with a clash between two relatively evenly matched teams who have not met before. FURIA are 4-2 in their last six, having lost only against Team Vitality (0-2) and Heroic (0-2), while Entropiq are 5-1, with one loss against SKADE (1-2).
Entropiq are in better form, but that doesn’t mean much considering they haven’t faced any top-rated team since StarLadder CIS RMR 2021. FURIA, meanwhile, have played against stronger opponents, but with little success.
This match seems like a complete coin-toss, but we have to give FURIA a slight edge since they have done well in previous online tournaments. Odds on FURIA will likely drop, so if you aren’t getting over -125, a bet on over 2.5 maps is a good alternative.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs TEAM LIQUID CSGO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Ninjas in Pyjamas enter this match priced at only -142.86, which seems about right. The Swedes last met with Team Liquid in July, when they won 2-1. Liquid started the series strong and won on Overpass with 19-17 but completely fell apart on Dust II (6-16) and Mirage (2-16).
Both teams have since played only two games; Liquid against mousesports (1-2) and BIG (0-2), while Ninjas in Pyjamas played against Gambit Esports (1-2) and Virtus.pro (0-2). All four games happened on LAN, so they don’t mean much for this prediction.
For Liquid and NiP, this will be their first official match in over a month, so we can expect a bit more open affair due to ring rust. Still, it’s hard to bet against Nicolai “device” Reedtz and his crew, who have been far more convincing over the season.
