Paweł “dycha” Dycha has announced he is ready to return to competitive Counter-Strike 2 in an X post, confirming the end of his short sabbatical.
The 27-year-old stepped away from the game in February when dycha revealed that he reached a mutual agreement with Monte to be removed from the active lineup to take a short break.
As of today, I would like to announce that I am a FREE AGENT!
I am open to conversations and looking for a new team.
I had some time to rest and calmly return to playing the game!

At the time, dycha hinted he would return after the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – scheduled for June 2-22 – but he decided to make a comeback sooner.
In an X post, the Pole also revealed that he is a free agent and ready to continue competing; however, there are no indications that he has yet to find a new home.
Dycha played his last official match on February 15, when Mote defeated Fnatic in the third round of CCT Season 2 European Series #18 and qualified for the playoffs.
For the knockout stage, Monte fielded dycha’s replacement Vladyslav “leen” Stepanov but got eliminated from the tournament in the first round, ruining the 20-year-old’s debut.
Dycha’s announcement also confirms his departure from Monte, who he joined in July 2024 as a part of a major roster overhaul.
At the time, Monte were reconstructing their Counter-Strike 2 division and acquired a Polish trio of Kamil “KEi” Pietkun, Aleksander “hades” Miśkiewicz, and dycha – the latter two from ENCE.
Throughout his seven-month stint with Monte, dycha has not won a single tournament but found some success in lesser events.
Most notably, dycha helped Monte reach the semifinals of CCT Season 2 European Series #6, YaLLa Compass Summer 2024, ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, and 500 Christmas Cup 2024, as well as collect two silver medals from A1 Gaming League Season 9 and CCT Season 2 European Series #16 at the start of the year.
Despite the lack of success, dycha has, during his stay with Monte, managed to maintain his performance level from his long and illustrious stint with ENCE, posting a 1.08 average performance rating.
Having shown strong figures with Monte, dycha likely will not have difficulty finding a new home. However, there are no reports of him joining any top-tier CS2 team just yet.
