BLAST Open Fall 2025 closed qualifiers end with Team Vitality and FURIA Esports securing semifinal berths. Check out how they did it and who else qualified.

Team Vitality and FURIA Esports have punched their tickets to the semi-finals of BLAST Open Fall 2025, while FaZe Clan, MOUZ, G2 Esports and M80 booked quarter-final berths in a dramatic day of Counter-Strike 2 action at the closed qualifiers on Monday.
Vitality survived a brutal three-map battle with FaZe to clinch their semi-final slot. Both Mirage and Nuke went to overtime, with David “frozen” Čerňanský and Helvijs “broky” Saukants nearly dragging FaZe over the line. After dropping Mirage 17-19, Vitality held firm on Nuke (19-16) before cruising through Inferno 13-5.
Shahar “flameZ” Shushan and William “mezii” Merriman produced clutch multi-kills when it mattered, covering for a surprisingly quiet series from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. Despite his struggles, Vitality proved they can win even without their superstar firing on all cylinders.
FURIA also impressed, sweeping MOUZ 2-0 to reach their first semi-final of 2025. New signings Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis and Danil “molodoy” Golubenko have revitalized Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s roster, with molodoy starring again. His early clutches on Inferno set the tone for a 13-7 win, while Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato dominated Mirage’s first half en route to a 16-14 finish in overtime. It marked FURIA’s first victory over MOUZ this year and continued their resurgence on LAN.
North America’s M80 are also on the rise, defeating Fnatic 2-0 (13-8, 16-14) in the Group A lower bracket final to earn their first international playoff appearance at BLAST Open Fall. Powered by Mason “Lake” Sanderson, Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich, and new addition Jadan “HexT” Postma, M80 repeatedly outmaneuvered Fnatic in late rounds. Despite Cai “CYPHER” Watson and Benjamin “blameF” Bremer giving the home crowd hope, Fnatic squandered key advantages and fell short of a hometown playoff run in London.
Finally, G2 fought back from a map down to eliminate Team Spirit 2-1. After losing Mirage 11-13, Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač’s squad stormed back with a 16-13 win on Dust2 and a 13-1 demolition on Ancient. Coach Eetu “sAw” Saha’s fiery timeout at 10-9 on Dust2 proved the turning point, rallying his team into form. For Spirit, it could spell the end of Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia’s time with the roster after rumors of a roster change swirled post-Esports World Cup.

The quarterfinals of BLAST Open Fall will take place on Friday, September 5, in London, England. Odds for each match are courtesy of the top esports betting sites.
