G2 Esports defeated Team Vitality 3-2 in a five-map thriller at Wembley Arena in London to claim the BLAST Open Fall 2025 title.

In front of a packed Wembley Arena on Sunday, G2 Esports lifted the BLAST Open Fall 2025 trophy after defeating Team Vitality 3-2 in a thrilling Counter-Strike 2 grand final.
The victory ended G2’s 10-month wait for silverware and marked their first title under Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač’s leadership as in-game leader.

The final began on Dust2, Vitality’s pick, but G2 came out swinging. Matúš “matys” Šimko and Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko led the charge as G2 dismantled their opponents 13-3, denying even a heroic ace from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut any real impact.
Vitality bounced back on Mirage, where ZywOo produced a flawless pistol ace and an otherworldly 30-6 performance, spearheading a dominant 13-6 win.
They carried that momentum into Overpass, where Robin “ropz” Kool and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan provided the support ZywOo needed to push Vitality ahead 2-1 in the series.
With their backs against the wall, G2 turned the tide on Inferno. Vitality reached match point, but a scrappy low-buy round swung momentum. G2 clawed back, forced overtime, and sealed the map 16-12 behind clutch plays from matys and Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa.
The decider on Train belonged entirely to G2’s young stars. HeavyGod stunned the crowd with a Dual Berettas ace in the pistol round before matys piled on multi-kills to keep Vitality pinned down. Despite a brief Vitality fightback, G2 maintained their composure to close the series 13-6.
For G2, this title represents more than just ending a drought. It showcased a team thriving through depth and unity rather than relying on a single superstar.
HeavyGod summed it up best: “We don’t need one insane player to carry. We know how to win as a team.”
The defeat leaves Vitality still searching for their first trophy since the Austin Major, having now fallen short in four straight tournaments.
G2, meanwhile, are hitting top form heading into a crucial stretch of the Counter-Strike season.
