FlyQuest have announced the departure of Christopher “dexter” Nong, who left the Australian Counter-Strike 2 team on Saturday, a month after he was moved to the bench.
The 30-year-old joined FlyQuest in March 2024, when the North American organisation made their first entry into the CS2 esports scene with the signing of the Jeeves roster, consisting of Joshua “INS” Potter, Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas, Alistair “aliStair” Johnston, Declan “Vexite” Portelli, dexter, and coach Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga.
Today we say farewell to @dextersjourney.
Thank you for leading the Aussies to their first international LAN win since 2017 and for everything you achieved in the FlyQuest jersey.
Wishing you all the best on your next journey

The former Grayhound lineup enjoyed a great start under the new banner, with a top-eight finish at Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024, a gold medal from ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024, and a successful run through the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 qualifiers.
Under the leadership of dexter, FlyQuest ran like a well-oiled machine; however, things took a turn for the worse after a 17th-19th-place finish in the Chinese Major.
Since the turn of the year, FlyQuest have not managed to leave a positive mark in any tournaments they’ve attended.
After a second-round elimination from BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, FlyQuest added two last-place finishes at IEM Katowice 2025 and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and more recently, exited ESL Pro League Season 21 in 17th-19th place.
The poor results led to significant roster changes in March and the benching of dexter, who had to make room for Corey “nettik” Browne.
The latter took over INS’ position while the 27-year-old was passed the captain’s armband.
Since getting removed from the active lineup, dexter remained on FlyQuest’s bench and did not appear in any official games.
His wait, however, should not take much longer, as dexter now enters free agency and is available for pickup by any team needing an experienced in-game leader.
Dexter has yet to reveal what his plans are for the future, nor has he been linked with any other Counter-Strike 2 team.
