CS2 Austin Major 2025 playoff preview: quarterfinal matchups & odds

The group stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 have officially wrapped up, and with the playoff bracket now locked in, attention shifts to the Moody Center — where eight teams remain in the hunt for Counter-Strike’s biggest prize.

The quarter-finals will begin on Thursday, June 20, with two blockbuster matchups, followed by two more on Friday, before the semi-finals and grand final bring the curtain down on Sunday.

Team Spirit, the reigning Major champions, enter the playoffs with momentum after a flawless Stage 3 and will open proceedings against MOUZ. The German squad had a shaky path through the Swiss system but rallied late to keep their campaign alive.

Spirit head into the match as favourites at -250, while MOUZ will look to cause an upset at +180.

Also on Thursday, FURIA and paiN will meet in an all-Brazilian derby that’s sure to light up the Moody Center. FURIA have impressed throughout the event and are priced as slight favourites at -222.22, while paiN continue their underdog run with odds of +160.

Friday’s action opens with a blockbuster clash between Natus Vincere and Team Vitality. NAVI will need to summon their very best to overcome the tournament favourites, coming in as long shots at +400, while Vitality are firmly in control of the betting markets at -666.67.

Closing out the quarter-finals, FaZe Clan will take on The MongolZ. FaZe have shown signs of hitting form at just the right time and go into the match at -153.85, while The MongolZ, riding a wave of momentum, are not far behind at +115.

With four huge quarter-finals across two days, the stage is set for an unforgettable playoff weekend in Austin — and by Sunday night, a new Counter-Strike Major champion will be crowned at the Moody Center.
