This is a match between one of CDL’s strongest and weakest teams, and as the latest Call of Duty League betting odds suggest, it should be a one-sided affair.
Las Vegas Legion performed well against Los Angeles Guerrillas on Sunday, and they had a relatively good start to the season with a couple of strong showings. Still, even on a good day, the Las Vegas Legion should stand no chance against the reigning CDL Major champions.
Toronto Ultra are far ahead of most CDL squads, with just one loss this season – against Boston Breach in the CDL Major 1 Qualifiers. The Ultra’s only weakness is their Control mode, although this shouldn’t be a big deal against weaker opponents.
Las Vegas Legion have looked competitive in some of their games, but they shouldn’t pose a serious threat to Toronto.

Los Angeles Guerrillas are one of the most flawed teams in the CDL with few redeeming qualities. They’re 6-11 on Hardpoint, 5-10 on Search & Destroy, and 5-7 on Control. Moreover, they’ve not looked good against other bottom-table teams and are fresh off a 1-3 loss against the Las Vegas Legion.
OpTic Texas are not quite one of the top teams in the league, but they have the potential to be great. For that to happen, OpTic need to improve their Search & Destroy.
While it’s easy to find OpTic Texas’ weaknesses, you must also have a capable opponent to take advantage of them. Los Angeles Guerrillas are not one of those teams.

Miami Heretics played a competitive game against Toronto Ultra on the opening day of CDL 2024 Major 2 Qualifiers. They lost 0-3 but pushed Ultra to the limits on Search & Destroy and Control, improving the poor impression Miami Heretics left in Boston.
Los Angeles Thieves have won just two series this season and are fresh off a rough loss against OpTic Texas. The Thieves have the same issues as their old roster, which lacked confidence. The talent is still there, and it’s fair to say that Los Angeles Thieves should be playing much better, but without any inspiring results, it’s tough to be optimistic.
Quality-wise, Miami Heretics and Los Angeles Thieves aren’t that far apart, and if we see the Heretics stumble against Las Vegas Legion on Friday, then backing the Thieves to win might be the smarter play. But considering what we’ve seen from the LA team so far, Miami at -149.25 is a fair offer.
