New York Subliners didn’t look great in the first Major, where they suffered a shocking round-one exit, but they improved the impression last week with wins against Carolina Royal Ravens and Seattle Surge. The Subliners had to reverse-sweep Royal Ravens, which isn’t very inspiring, but they obliterated Carolina Royal Ravens on the final three maps and showed no signs of stopping with a 3-0 sweep of Seattle Surge.
Boston Breach won their third game of the season last round when they defeated Carolina Royal Ravens. While this saves them from getting knocked down to the “bad” tier, Boston Breach haven’t shown much yet.
They’re only good on Control (6-3) but have a lot of work to do on Hardpoint (8-8) and Search & Destroy (3-9). Similarly, the Subliners’ Hardpoint (9-9) isn’t great, but they have a positive win rate on Search & Destroy and are a solid Control team. While New York have some things to work on, they should secure a comfortable win.

OpTic Texas dismantled Los Angeles Thieves on Sunday. The only somewhat close game was Invasion – Control, where LA Thieves won two maps, but OpTic never seemed to be in danger of losing the series. This continues OpTic Texas’s solid showings from CDL 2024 Stage 1, where they had a few stinkers, but still proved themselves as one of the top-three teams in the league.
Minnesota RØKKR lost against Toronto Ultra this weekend but won two maps and had their chances to win the series. Things didn’t work out in the end, with a 0-6 loss on Search & Destroy – Invasion; however, RØKKR showed a good fight against the league’s top dogs, which counts for something.
Minnesota RØKKR are in a great spot form-wise, their respawns are solid, and they’re one of the top Control teams in the league. Even though OpTic Texas will be tough to beat, the RØKKR have the tools to do well.

Miami Heretics had a rough showing against Atlanta FaZe and Toronto Ultra last weekend, dropping the series 1-3 and 0-3. Despite losing to FaZe and Ultra, Miami Heretics have shown the ability to compete with other strong teams. However, they’re on a four-game losing streak, which includes a 0-3 loss against Las Vegas Legion in CDL 2024 Major 1 a month ago.
The Legion defeated Los Angeles Guerrillas on Sunday, but they didn’t perform well. The Vegas side came one point short of losing Control and closed out the series with 250-236 on Hardpoint – Rio. A win is a win, but showing struggles against the league’s worst team isn’t a good look.
Even though Miami Heretics lost this match at the end of January, it’s tough to be optimistic about the Las Vegas Legion after what they showed last weekend. At the offered CoD esports betting odds, we prefer Miami Heretics to get their revenge.
