Minnesota G2 kicked off the third week of CDL Stage 1 Major Qualifiers with a close 2-3 loss against Riyadh Falcons.

They fought well and edged past the Falcons on both Hardpoints; however, they came out short on Search & Destroy (4-6 and 3-6) and Overload (1-2).

Carolina Royal Ravens had a much better start to the penultimate week of the qualifiers, taking down Miami Heretics in a four-map spectacle.

It was a competitive affair that could’ve easily gone to five maps.

Despite losing their last outing, G2 Minnesota enter this match as favourites on the top CoD betting sites.

This is not too surprising, as they have looked more stable than Royal Ravens, who have recently added Kaden “Exceed” Stockdale to the roster.

A five-map game is not out of the question, but G2 Minnesota should come out ahead.

This is a clear mismatch, a clash between the league’s top dogs and the undisputed worst squad.

OpTic Texas have not shown any signs of slowing down since winning the CDL 2025 championship and have looked very good in the new season.

Meanwhile, the Surge ended the first half of the qualifiers as the only team to not win a single map.

With the roster change, Surge can hope to find more traction, but replacing one player will not fix all of their issues, nor will it make Surge a dangerous opponent for the leading championship contenders.

TORONTO KOI vs LOS ANGELES THIEVES

Both teams have had a strong start to the season, both securing a 2-1 record.

While the Thieves lost to Paris Gentle Mates, Toronto KOI’s only defeat from December came against FaZe Vegas.

This is a clash between two of the league’s top teams, both of whom should make the winner’s bracket.

And so early into the season, it is hard to draw a clear line between them.

However, one thing is known. Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero always steps up when faced with his old team, and if that happens on Sunday, Toronto KOI should be in a fine spot to secure this crucial win.

There is nothing to suggest that the Los Angeles Thieves should be $1.44 favorites.

Take the underdogs.
