BLAST Slam IV playoff bracket set after Sunday play-ins

Aurora Gaming produced a comeback for the ages to defeat Natus Vincere on Sunday and seal a spot in the BLAST Slam IV playoffs.

Dota 2 BLAST Slam

The BLAST Slam IV field has been whittled down to six Dota 2 teams after Sunday’s play-in fixtures determined the last four to advance to the playoffs.

MOUZ, Aurora Gaming, HEROIC and Team Spirit are through to the quarterfinals, with Team Falcons and Tundra Esports awaiting in the semis.

MOUZ had no real issues with Southeast Asian upstarts Team Aureus, winning 2-0 with healthy gold leads on both maps.

HEROIC produced the same scoreline against Team Liquid, albeit with a 70-minute epic to seal the win, while Spirit proved too strong for BetBoom Team over three maps.

But the undisputed match of the day was Aurora’s incredible reverse-sweep of Natus Vincere.

After managing only six kills on the first map, the Dutch lineup needed just shy of 74 minutes to square the ledger.

The decider was no easier, with both sides giving everything over 58 minutes as Aurora clinched an incredible comeback victory.

They will line up against HEROIC when BLAST Slam IV resumes in Singapore on November 7, while MOUZ will take on Team Spirit in the other quarterfinal.

In the meantime, all the remaining teams are set to feature at the upcoming FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 event.

Aurora, HEROIC, Tundra and Spirit will enter their respective matches as short-priced favorites with esports betting sites, while MOUZ face a tough opener against Falcons.
