BIG secure Benjamin “blameF” Bremer from Fnatic, installing the Dane as IGL to replace FreeZe and target a rebound season after a mixed 2025.

BIG announced the signing of Benjamin “blameF” Bremer, who joins the German Counter-Strike 2 team from Fnatic as the first signing of the new year.
BlameF joins BIG after an 18-month stay with Fnatic, whom he joined in May 2024 after leaving Astralis.
At BIG, he will replace Lukas “FreeZe” Hegmann, who served as an in-game leader following the departure of Johannes “tabseN” Woodarz.
While the Dane hasn’t found much success at Fnatic, failing to win any significant events, he has stood out as Fnatic’s best player.
BlameF ended his stint with Fnatic with a 1.21 performance rating and notably helped the Black & Orange qualify for the Shanghai and Budapest Majors.
With the signing of blameF, BIG now field two non-German players, the other being Glem “gr1ks” Gazin, who reinforced the roster in October.
With a new in-game leader and finalized roster, BIG will aim to improve upon their performances in 2025 and enter the new season with higher goals in mind.
BIG finished the past season with just three tournament titles, from DACH CS Masters Season 3, Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, and CCT Season 3 European Series #12.
However, they were unsuccessful in their attempts to qualify for big events in the latter half of the season.
Currently ranked No.57 in the world rankings and No.35 in Valve Regional Standings (VRS), BIG are a bit short of securing direct invites for the biggest events of 2026.
Despite not being invited to BLAST Bounty Winter, BIG are set to enter the arena at the end of next week, at CCT Season 3 European Series #13, where blameF is expected to debut as the new in-game leader.
