On Saturday, AMKAL ESPORTS have announced that their entire Counter-Strike 2 esports roster has been benched and is available for transfer.
Coach Svyatoslav “svyat” Dovbakh will join the five players on the sideline as the Russian squad look to start fresh in 2025.
The drastic roster overhaul follows the roster’s shaky run through the 2024 season, as they failed to accomplish much since AMKAL acquired the former 1WIN core.

The new project found initial success, with a sixth-eighth-place finish at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR A.
However, Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko and co. failed to turn any heads in Denmark with a last-place finish.
Over the year, AMKAL ESPORTS made some noise in lesser events, winning RES European Masters Fall 2024, ESEA Season 51: Open10 Division – Europe, and Exort Series #6. Yet they spent most of the year competing only in online tournaments.
AMKAL’s only LAN appearance – at Skyesports Championship 2024 in July – ended in the first round of the playoffs, where the Russian outfit lost to The MongolZ.
Throughout the last season, AMKAL ESPORTS made several roster changes to find more traction – the most recent being the arrivals of Evgeniy “topo-“Ivanov in July and Emil “nota” Moskvitin in August.
Even with new faces, success was hard to come by as AMKAL continued to slip down the world rankings and reached their lowest point in November when Krad and his crew ranked no.114.
Currently ranked no.71, AMKAL ESPORTS will look to start fresh and enter their next competitive endeavour at ESEA Season 52: Advanced Division Europe with a new-look lineup.
“We have always fought for the highest places — for the fight to continue, changes are inevitable,” read the announcement.
More information about AMKAL’s new lineup will become available shortly or at the latest before the start of ESEA Season 52: Advanced Division Europe on Monday, January 13.
