Another big week of esports kicks off on April 7, 2025, with Counter-Strike 2 taking the spotlight in Bucharest, Romania.

After kicking off on Sunday, PGL Bucharest will continue throughout the week, with the Swiss Stage running through Thursday, April 10.

The next event on the 2025 Dota 2 esports schedule is the US$1 million ESL One Raleigh tournament, which will run from April 7-13.

  • PGL Bucharest 2025

    PGL Bucharest 2025 started on Sunday, with 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike 2 teams playing their opening round matches of the Swiss Stage.

    The Romanian capital will host the eight-day event, which boasts a massive US$1,250,000 prize pool, and it will play a big part in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) heading into the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

    Aurora Gaming, G2 Esports and FURIA Esports were the only esports betting sites favourites that won their opening matches, while the likes of The MongolZ, FaZe Clan and Team Liquid lost to lower-ranked opponents.

  • Dota 2 ESL One Raleigh

    The first ESL One Dota 2 tournament for this year will take place during the week when ESL One Raleigh kicks off on Monday, April 7, in North America.

    With 12 of the world’s top teams set to participate in the US$1,000,000 event, competition is expected to be fierce and exciting for all fans in attendance and watching online.
