Virtus.pro have revamped their CS2 lineup by benching FL4MUS after a tough season and signing Perfecto, reuniting him with electroNic for a fresh start in 2025.
Virtus.pro has officially reshaped their Counter-Strike 2 lineup, benching rising prospect Timur “FL4MUS” Marev after just one turbulent season and welcoming back seasoned star Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy in a move that reunites him with former Natus Vincere teammate Denis “electroNic” Sharipov.
FL4MUS joined Virtus.pro at the start of 2025 following an impressive stint with GamerLegion in late 2024. However, the transition proved rocky. The 20-year-old was frequently moved across roles, leading to a sharp dip in form and confidence compared to his time under GamerLegion coach Ashley “ash” Battye.
Hopes of a resurgence at the BLAST.tv Austin Major were dashed after a promising 2-0 start was undone by three straight losses in the best-of-threes to FURIA Esports, Team Vitality, and paiN Gaming. His struggles continued, and Virtus.pro has now decided to place him on the bench, seeking transfer opportunities for the young rifler.
Taking his place is 25-year-old Perfecto, a Major winner and 2022’s Anchor of the Year, who returns to top-tier action after spending over a year on the sidelines. Last seen competing with Cloud9 in early 2024, Perfecto’s career had stalled until his contract expired this April. He has since played a handful of qualifiers and minor events but now rejoins the elite fold with VP.
Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian confirmed the roster shake-up followed internal discussions aimed at correcting course after a poor first half of the year. “Perfecto’s experience and defensive reliability are exactly what this team needs to rediscover its identity,” Petrossian said. “His arrival allows us to restructure roles and get the most out of the squad.”
The change also marks a reunion between Perfecto and electroNic, a duo that lifted a Major and the Intel Grand Slam during their shared time at NaVi.
