Virtus.pro have finalized their Counter-Strike 2 roster after the departure of Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, promoting Vadim “tO0RO” Arkov from the academy squad and moving Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy to in-game leader.

On Friday, Virtus.pro announced the abrupt departure of electroNic, who was removed from the active roster following an early elimination from the BLAST Open Fall Closed Qualifier.

With the time to put together a complete lineup before FISSURE Playground #2 running out quickly, the Russian team decided to use one of their academy players to fill in the gap.

TO0RO joins the main roster as an inexperienced player. He made his first appearance in the professional scene in September 2024, a month before signing a contract with VP.Prodigy.

With the academy lineup, the 17-year-old has impressed with his individual contribution.

He has averaged an impressive 1.12 rating this year and led his team to a couple of tournament titles in August — European ESEA Season 54 Elite Cup #1 and Myskill Pro League Season 2.

Just a year after stepping into the professional scene, tO0RO will have a chance of proving his worth at the highest level on September 12, when VP are set to play their first match of FISSURE Playground 2.

Besides promoting an academy player, Virtus.pro also moved Perfecto to the in-game leader position, where he will replace electroNic.

The 25-year-old has no previous experience in the position; however, Virtus.pro said the decision to give the captain’s armband to Perfecto was unanimous.

With the two changes, VP are set to enter the next tournament with a different look as they aim to turn around their indifferent form.

Ranked 15th in the global standings and eighth in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Virtus.pro have not won a tournament since Roobet Cup 2023.

With The MongolZ, Team Falcons, Aurora Gaming, Astralis, FURIA, and other heavyweights in attendance at FISSURE Playground #2, VP’s dry streak is unlikely to change.

The best Counter-Strike 2 betting sites have yet to open outright markets for the Serbian event, with odds expected to be posted in the coming days.
