VALORANT

VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025 EMEA Stage 2 is on the horizon, and according to the latest esports betting odds, the defending champions will retain their tag as the team to beat.

As the Esports World Cup 2025 draws to a close, European VALORANT fans will soon shift their attention to the final stage of VCT EMEA.

VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 18, as the third VCT regional league to enter the second stage, after VCT China and Pacific.

Although the league will welcome the same 12 teams who battled in Stage 1, eight have made roster changes in a bid to contest the invite to the season-culminating VALORANT Champions 2025.

According to the outright betting odds on the top VALORANT betting sites, the player and coach shuffles have shaken up the balance of power, although not at the top of the table.

VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 champions and runners-up, Fnatic and Team Heretics, have retained their tags as EMEA’s top squads.

The defending champions are +200 favourites to win the league, with Team Heretics close behind at +300, giving them a 25% implied chance of derailing the Black & Orange.

Team Liquid, who secured a bronze medal in Stage 1, are expected to recreate that success, as the third-most likely team to win the league at +500.

While the order at the top of the power rankings have remained untouched, the middle of the table has seen a shakeup, with BBL Esports (+650) now viewed as EMEA’s fourth-best team.

Even though BBL have not been busy with changing their roster too much during the offseason, they have bolstered their coaching personnel with the promotion of Gregor “PAL” Morton to the head coach position and the arrival of assistant coach Manuel “thinkii” Martínez and analyst Dario “ZaeS” Gomez.

Two fallen titans, FUT Esports and Team Vitality, are tied at +750 to secure the VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 title.

FUT have been consistently competitive, and with no roster changes, they are expected to do just as well in Stage 2.

Meanwhile, Team Vitality opted to add Bartosz “UNFAKE” Bernacki and Blendi “kovaQ” Kovaci, hoping the fresh blood would help them repeat their run from VCT EMEA Kickoff.

The six squads round up a list of teams priced at single digits, with the outright betting odds drawing a clear line between those who have a realistic chance to compete for VALORANT Champions 2025 invites and those who do not.

Of all the underdogs, KOI, who are +7500 outsiders, and Gentle Mates (+2500) are two of the most exciting teams to follow, as they’ve both replaced a good chunk of their lineups since Stage 1.

KOI brought in former FunPlus Phoenix substitute Kamil “baddyG” Graniczka, 2023 VALORANT Challengers MVP Ondřej “MONSTEERR” Petrů, and Nathan “nataNk” Bocqueho.

Meanwhile, Gentle Mates acquired Sylvain “Veqaj” Pattyn, Yusuf Emre “Proxh” Tunc, and Berkcan “ComeBack” Şentürk.

VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 kicks off on July 18 with the first round of the group play. The league will conclude on August 31.

While the format will remain the same, Stage 2 will see changes to the map pool.

Corrode will make its competitive debut, while Bind was put back into the rotation. To make room for two new maps, Split and Pearl have been removed.
