Team Liquid kicked off VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 with a 2-1 victory against KOI, while Natus Vincere bested Apeks with the same score. However, NAVI had much more dominant showings on the maps they won, winning 13-4 on Icebox and 13-3 on Corrode.

Natus Vincere look weaker on paper, but they performed admirably on the newest map, which Team Liquid have yet to play. Moreover, Liquid did not perform well in their win against KOI, so while they should be favoured, the top VALORANT betting sites are overestimating Stage 1 bronze medallists.

Gentle Mates were reverse-swept by FUT Esports in the first week of VCT EMEA Stage 2. However, they would have easily won had they not blundered on the decider, losing in overtime despite leading 12-6.

On the other side, Team Heretics produced a reverse-sweep against BBL with 13-9 on Haven and 13-11 on Sunset after dropping Icebox 5-13. Despite the somewhat underwhelming display, they should be favoured as a team with a much higher ceiling.

However, the underdogs have a very clear win condition they can take advantage of.

Team Heretics attended — and won — the VALORANT Esports World Cup, so they’ve not had much time to practise the newer maps. Gentle Mates, on the other hand, have had plenty of time to do just that, so dragging Heretics into Corrode or Bind could give them an edge.
