Week 3 of VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA Stage 1 comes to an end on Friday, April 11, as Apeks look to upset Fnatic, followed by a clash between Karmine Corp and Gentle Mates. By beating Team Vitality last week, Fnatic put themselves on the map as the team to watch in VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1. Apeks, on the other side, are 0-2 with losses against Team Heretics and Natus Vincere.

Apeks took maps off Heretics and NaVi, which looks promising. However, considering NaVi and Heretics are not in the best shape, the two maps won prove very little and are not an indication that Apeks are more than a mid-table team.

Fnatic are in great shape and rightly priced as -714.29 favourites with the top VALORANT betting sites. While they had a few iffy showings in the Kickoff event, Fnatic have been playing too well in Stage 1 to believe this will end in anything less than a 2-0 sweep.

Gentle Mates and Karmine Corp are both 1-1 ahead of the third week of play. Karmine Corp lost to BBL Esports in the first week and bested KOI last Friday, whereas Gentle Mates defeated Team Liquid and lost to FUT Esports.

Based on those results, Gentle Mates should be viewed as the better team, yet they enter this match as underdogs. This makes little sense, and it seems like the odds are set based on the brand value and the roster’s ceiling.

While Karmine Corp should have a higher ceiling, Gentle Mates have been playing better this stage and are an excellent pick at even money. Patrik “Minny” Hušek and co. should be priced closer to -125.
