VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, which concluded on Sunday, March 2, set a new record by peaking at over 4.3 million viewers across all streaming platforms.

The event welcomed eight of the world’s top VALORANT esports teams, who battled it out for the lion’s share of the US$500,000 prize pool.

It culminated with T1 defying the odds to win the trophy by beating G2 Esports 3-2 in the grand finals.

The competition, however, will not only be remembered for T1’s Cinderella story, but also for its success in terms of the number of people who watched T1 upset the pre-tournament favourites.

According to Esports Charts, VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 peaked at 1,319,067 viewers for the five-map thriller. However, that number does not include audiences from Chinese streaming platforms.

The official VALORANT X account revealed the combined figure, stating that the numbers peaked at over 4.3 million concurrent viewers — which signifies that over three million people watched the grand finals on Chinese platforms.

Excluding the Chinese viewers, VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 became the second-most watched VALORANT esports tournament in history — behind VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, which peaked at 1,687,848 viewers.

The success of T1 also showed in the figures of Korean-language broadcasts, with the peak viewership reaching new heights at 172,878.

That almost doubles the previous Korean viewership record of 93,124 from the VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024 grand finals between Gen.G Esports and Team Heretics.

With the conclusion of VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, the focus shifts to the first round of the VCT season, which is set to run from March to May, starting with VCT 2025 China Stage 1 on March 13.

The second VALORANT Masters event of the year, VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025, is scheduled for June 7-22.
