The MongolZ announced the exit of stand-in Unudelger “controlez” Baasanjargal after playoff runs at Chengdu, Rivals Fall, and the Budapest Major.

On Saturday, December 27, The MongolZ announced the departure of Unudelger “controlez” Baasanjargal, whose time as a stand-in for the Mongolian Counter-Strike 2 team has come to an end.
The 28-year-old was added to The MongolZ lineup in October, following the benching of Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold.
Initially, controlez was announced as a stand-in only for Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu.
However, after a promising display in China, where the stand-in averaged a 1.06 performance rating, The MongolZ decided to keep him on the roster for BLAST Rivals Fall and StarLadder Budapest Major.
Despite failing to win either of the events without Senzu, controlez did his part and helped The MongolZ reach playoffs in all three tournaments – highlighted by a top-eight placement in the Budapest Major.
At the Major, controlez stood out in Stage 3, averaging a 1.23 performance rating.
However, he struggled in the playoffs, posting the server’s lowest (0.46) rating in The MongolZ’ quarterfinal loss to Team Vitality.
By leaving The MongolZ, controlez has finished his second stint with the team, who he previously represented in 2017.
He has since played for other squads from the region, more recently Chinggis Warriors, where controlez remains as an inactive player.
The departure of the rifler leaves The MongolZ with only four active members ahead of the 2026 season.
However, by deciding to skip the season-opening BLAST Bounty Winter, the Mongolian outfit have plenty of time to find their fifth.
