The second day of The International 2025 playoffs delivered drama, upsets, and two high-profile eliminations as the field of Dota 2 squads narrowed toward the Aegis of Champions.

South America’s HEROIC set the tone with a stunning 2-0 sweep over Western Europe’s Tundra Esports in the lower bracket.

Yuma “Yuma” Langlet stole the spotlight, first shredding opponents with Ursa, then dazzling with an unexpected carry Pudge. Tundra—forced to play with stand-in Tobias “Tobi” Buchner after Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon’s visa woes—never found their footing.

The international champions from 2022 exit in seventh-eighth place, while HEROIC secure South America’s best TI finish since the same year.

Nigma Galaxy followed with a ruthless 2-0 over Team Tidebound.

Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan’s mid Muerta and Daniel “Ghost” Chan’s flawless Medusa led the Middle Eastern Dota 2 squad as Tidebound collapsed under pressure, drafting poorly and missing key defensive buys.

Once tipped as China’s second title hope, Tidebound leave in seventh-eighth after a dismal playoffs showing, while Nigma guarantee themselves a top-six finish.

In the upper bracket, Eastern Europe’s PARIVISION dismantled Xtreme Gaming 2-0, halting the Chinese powerhouse’s five-series winning streak.

XG’s unorthodox builds—a Battle Fury Bristleback and Manta Storm—backfired, and PARIVISION’s composed late-game playbook punished every misstep.

The win seals PARIVISION at least a top-three placing and a spot in the upper bracket final.

Closing the day, Team Falcons rallied past BetBoom Team with a 2-1 reverse sweep. After fumbling a near-certain win in game one, the West Asian favorites dominated the next two maps through sharp drafting and clean execution.

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko’s Anti-Mage and Dragon Knight faltered badly, while Falcons’ Oliver “skiter” Lepko celebrated his 27th birthday with a berth in the upper bracket final.

With Tundra Esports and Team Tidebound out, and PARIVISION and Team Falcons booking top-three spots, attention now turns to a loaded Day Three.

HEROIC, Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom will fight to stay alive, while PARIVISION and Falcons clash for a ticket to TI 2025’s grand final.
