After a disappointing run in Austin, the Falcons have made another big change to their lineup.
Team Falcons have announced the arrival Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin, who joins the Saudi Counter-Strike team as a replacement for Emil “Magisk” Reif.
The news follows the Falcons’ disappointing performance at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, where they crashed out of Stage 2 with losses against B8, Lynn Vision Gaming, and MIBR.
Rumours of an impending roster change had been swirling for several weeks already, however, and Magisk’s 18-month tenure has now come to an end.
The Dane joined the Falcons in December 2023 as part of a big overhaul and has survived numerous lineup changes as the organisation chases greater success on the Counter-Strike esports scene.
Initially, the Falcons intended to build a squad around the four-time Major champion, but after failing to reach the expected heights, they have opted to add some fresh blood.
Kyousuke is another big addition to Team Falcons, who have acquired two other star players this year: Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov.
The 17-year-old is viewed as one of the most promising young players on the CS2 scene, having made his professional debut in March 2024 with Team Spirit Academy.
He has since maintained a 1.29 average performance rating, helping Spirit Academy win titles at CCT Season 2 European Series #14 and #15 as well as LanDaLan #1 and #2.
Despite having no Tier-1 experience, the Russian player is now just four weeks away from attending his first S-Tier LAN event when the Falcons compete at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025.
