PGL announced the opening set of matches for PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 on Monday, setting the stage for the upcoming US$1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 tournament.
Set to take place at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania, it marks the 21st Tier 1 CS2 esports event of the year, preceding Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu.
PGL Masters Bucharest will feature 16 teams, all of whom received direct invites based on their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) position in the September update.
The team list has some notable absentees who participated in ESL Pro League Season 22, including Team Vitality, Team Falcons, MOUZ, and FaZe Clan.
However, with Aurora Gaming, 3DMAX, Astralis, and CS Asia Championships winners Legacy, there is no shortage of top-tier talent.
A stacked field ensures that PGL Masters Bucharest will offer an exciting week of action with plenty of CS2 betting opportunities to explore.
The action begins on Friday, October 24, with the eight Round 1 fixtures of the Swiss Stage.
The opening matches feature some exciting pairings — including a rematch between Legacy and Team Liquid, who recently clashed in the Group A upper-bracket final at the CS Asia Championships.
