Citing a tight schedule between tournaments, Aurora Gaming have withdrawn from BLAST Open Fall, and paiN Gaming was invited to take their place.
Just over three weeks before the kickoff of the BLAST Open Fall 2025 online stage, tournament organizers have announced paiN Gaming as a replacement invite for Aurora Gaming.
The Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 team will fill in for Aurora, who decided to withdraw from the event due to a tight schedule.
The withdrawal was likely influenced by Aurora Gaming’s upcoming participation in the Esports World Cup 2025.
The US$1,250,000 tournament is scheduled to kick off on August 20, 10 days after the conclusion of the BLAST event.
By forfeiting their spot at BLAST Open London, Aurora Gaming will have more time to pick themselves up after early eliminations from the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 (12th-14th) and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne (ninth-12th).
İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and his crew, however, still have to attend BLAST Bounty Fall 2025, which they will enter as dark horses, priced at +1500 with the best Counter-Strike 2 betting sites.
By accepting the invite, paiN Gaming are the second confirmed Brazilian team in attendance at the US$70,000 event, alongside FURIA Esports, who qualified via the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
Set to kick off on August 27, BLAST Open Fall 2025 will begin with online closed qualifiers, where 16 squads will be divided into two double-elimination GSL groups of eight.
The opening matches have yet to be revealed, as the final four regional qualifying events across Europe, South America, North America, and Asia are still ongoing.
All four will conclude on Sunday, August 3.
