M80 have become the latest Counter-Strike 2 team to qualify for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 22, where they will compete for the largest slice of a US$1 million prize pool.

The international roster secured their tickets for the 18th S-Tier CS2 event of the year by winning the North American qualifiers, where they managed a near-perfect run.

Following a comfortable victory against Outfit 49 in Stage 1 and MarcaRegistrada in the upper-bracket quarterfinals of Stage 2, M80 needed three maps to make it past world No.72 BLUEJAYS.

They were not as fortunate in the upper-bracket finals, where Elias “s1n” Stein and co. suffered a reverse sweep to Getting Info.

The North American-German roster bounced back with a dominant 13-1, 13-9 win against Marsborne in the lower-bracket finals and exacted their revenge against Getting Info in the grand finals, winning 13-9 on Ancient and 13-5 on Dust II.

By qualifying for ESL Pro League Season 22, M80 have secured a spot in their fifth S-Tier event of the season.

Their previous four big-event appearances, however, did not net any notable results.

M80 placed 17th-19th in ESL Pro League Season 21, 9th-12th in BLAST Open Spring 2025, 15th-16th in PGL Astana, and 20th-22nd at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

ESL Pro League Season 22 is scheduled to kick off on September 27 in Stockholm, Sweden, and will feature 24 teams — albeit with the notable absence of Team Liquid, who crashed out of the European qualifiers after a surprise 1-2 loss to Sashi Esports.

The best Counter-Strike 2 betting sites have yet to open outright markets for the event, as the field is yet to be filled.
