LGD Gaming are 1-5 after five weeks of play, which is far from optimal, but we saw some improvement last week when they took a map away from FunPlus Phoenix. LGD still lost that match, marking their third consecutive, but they’ve shown to be resilient underdogs, which could benefit them on Wednesday.
Bilibili Gaming welcomed back mid laner Chu “FoFo” Chun-Lan, but even with the help of the Taiwanese LoL veteran, they couldn’t beat Weibo Gaming (1-2). It marked their second consecutive loss following a 1-2 defeat against TT Gaming last Monday.
As the latest LoL betting odds suggest, Bilibil Gaming should win, but we would much rather be on the side of the underdogs. Even though BLG are individually stronger, they’re not a good bet as the favourites purely due to their inconsistency and shaky neutral, objective setup. Moreover, Bilibili recently replaced ADC Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan with Zhang “Rise” Sheng, which could benefit them in the long run but should spell some synergy issues for the first couple of rounds.
LGD Gaming +1.5 maps

EDward Gaming’s performance figures this split are very similar to their metrics from LPL 2022 Spring, but they’re not nearly as efficient in Herald control, and they’ve not looked as impressive in their wins. There are only two reasonable explanations for their “lack of success” – their peers (namely V5 and JDG) have elevated their level, and their uptempo playstyle doesn’t fit in the current meta.
This is still a powerful team, and we don’t believe their playoff spot is in any danger. But they had a couple of shaky showings last week; 1-2 against OMG and 0-2 against V5.
Ultra Prime enter this match on a four-game losing streak, with losses against JD Gaming (1-2), Weibo Gaming (0-2), Royal Never Give Up (0-2), and Anyone’s Legends (0-2). With a 2-5 record, Ultra Prime have a lot of catching up to do, but based on their recent results, it seems unlikely that this team will ever break into the top 10.
Priced at -714.29, EDward Gaming are expected to win, which is fair. Even though they’re not perfect and are not playing as well as in LPL 2022 Spring, the quality gap alone is enough for us to believe it’s far more likely for EDG to sweep Ultra Prime than UP winning one map.
