ESB’s esports betting predictions for Tuesday include two League of Legends Pro League (LPL) fixtures. Rare Atom will look to vault into the top half when they take on fourth-placed Team WE, while the struggling Victory Five will face high-flying EDward Gaming. Here are our best bets for those games, with odds courtesy of BetOnline.

Team WE lost their most recent fixture against Royal Never Give Up (0-2) in what turned out to be a very one-sided affair. While most will write off that performance as a blip on the radar, it is hard to mount a defence for a team that put up so any questionable plays.

Rare Atom’s 2-3 record so far is no disgrace, although their two wins have come against struggling teams in Suning and Rogue Warriors. Also, one their three losses to date was against Bilibili Gaming, who aren’t expected to push for the playoffs this season.

Team WE were awful in their last series, which should serve as a wake-up call for the squad. Rare Atom are a solid mid-table team, but they lack the individual quality to compete with Team WE and other LPL top dogs.

VICTORY FIVE vs EDWARD GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

LoL Betting Odds: V5 +299 at BetOnline | EDG -454.55 at BetOnline

We were very optimistic about Victory Five heading into this season, but after seeing them lose against ThunderTalk Gaming on Sunday, it’s very difficult to say anything positive about them. It was a really poor series from V5 all round, with bizarre drafts and very poor decision making.

EDward Gaming have yet to lose a single match this split. That is largely thanks to their fundamentally solid playstyle, which is bound to earn them plenty of wins against disorganised teams (i.e. most of the LPL).

This is by no means the same EDG we knew in the earlier days of the LPL, but they’re undeniably playing the cleanest LoL in the league. They seem like the type of team that won’t lose unnecessary games, and until other Chinese LoL teams start showing some sort of stability, we will continue to believe EDG just might win the regular season.
