Ding “Puff” Wang returned to the Invictus Gaming lineup last Friday for the first time since the LPL Summer campaign, and his impact was immediate. In his 2021 debut, Puff led IG to a massive 2-0 victory against EDward Gaming, handing the league leaders their first loss of the season.
Bilibili Gaming’s last match ended in a defeat to EDG (0-2), which was hardly a surprise. Although BLG are a good team, they’re not great, which more or less sums up where this squad stands heading into Week 7 of LPL Spring 2021.
With talented youngsters and experienced veterans on the team, Bilibili can defeat anyone as long as they don’t beat themselves, which to some degree holds true for IG as well. Even though Invictus are generally far more volatile – as seen in their loss against Suning on Sunday – they are very effective against mid- and lower-table teams.

TT Gaming enter this match off a 1-2 defeat against JD Gaming, which is not a terrible loss considering JDG’s quality. That followed a loss to Rare Atom (1-2) that TT would have won if not for a serious blunder in game three.
Although TT look better than they did in LPL Summer 2020 (when they were still Dominus Esports) thanks to their early-game aggression and high-tempo playstyle, they still struggle with their late-game decision making. While that means we can’t expect TT to achieve much in the long run, this playstyle is good enough to pocket an upset win here and there.
Suning boast an extremely strong mid-jungle duo but often fail to leverage that advantage, making them very vulnerable in the side lanes. They also seem a bit disorganised on the Rift and tend to fall apart if things don’t go their way early on.
The Lions should still win this match, as they’re much stronger than TT, but we don’t expect a clean sweep.
