JD Gaming and Bilibili Gaming will cross swords on Wednesday, March 4, in the upper bracket final of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2026 Split 1 Knockout Stage.
The two Chinese titans have met twice before this split, during the group stage. JD Gaming won the first clash 2-0 and added a 2-1 victory three days later.
Since that victory, JDG have played six fixtures. They went 1-3 in the final stretch of the group stage, with defeats against Weibo Gaming, Anyone’s Legend, and Top Esports, but have picked themselves up by beating Top Esports and AL in the playoffs.
Both knockout-stage games went the distance, and in neither has JDG looked convincing.
They barely edged past Top Esports and arguably should not have beaten Anyone’s Legend on Thursday. So, despite racking in two best-of-five victories, JD Gaming haven’t been convincing.
Bilibili Gaming, on the other hand, have managed a 4-2 record since their last clash with BLG. That stretch includes two 3-0 sweeps of Ninjas in Pyjamas and Weibo Gaming in the playoffs.
In both games, BLG performed admirably well. They seemed prepared for their opponents, found advantages in the drafting phase, and proved very effective in closing out the maps when ahead.
Despite showing signs of struggle in the group stage – mainly due to their lack of consistency – Bilibili Gaming seem to have found their rhythm. So even though they are 0-2 down in the head-to-head, it comes as no surprise that the best LoL betting sites have them priced as -303.03 favorites to win on Wednesday.
JD Gaming have the tools and players to emerge as one of LPL’s top dogs. But the eye test proves that they’re not quite there yet, and they do not appear prepared to take on the current top favorites to win the league.
This is Bilibili Gaming’s game to lose.
